What is Ceramic coating?
Ceramic coating is a clear liquid polymer that bonds with the paint at the molecular level giving it an extra layer of shine and gloss. It also provides hydrophobic properties which makes it easier to wash and clean the car.
What is the benefit of Ceramic coating?
General benefits are hydrophobic effect, protection for UV, fire resistance, protection from acid rain, bird drop, hard water marks, High gloss, and scratch resistance.
What is the process followed for ceramic coating?
The process is about 7 stages of detailing, which includes alloy wheel cleaning, logo cleaning, engine bay cleaning, paint preparation, which includes removing minor scratches, oxidation, and hard watermarks including paint preparation by cleaning, compounding, precoat, ceramic coating, post coating,
How much time will it need for Ceramic Coating?
It takes around 2-3 days. If the car is more than 3-4 years we might need more time as we need to spend more time on descaling and paint preparation.
Is the process the same for new and old cars?
Yes, it is similar but we do mild compounding for new cars and heavy compounding for old cars including descaling, hard water marks removal.

What is the package includes –

Before nano-coating detailing is done, which includes alloy wheel cleaning, logo cleaning, engine bay cleaning, and paint preparation, which includes removing minor scratches, oxidation, and hard water marks removal.
How is ceramic coating at The Car Laundry better than other Vendors?
The ceramic coating needs good quality products and trained applicators. Our teams are trained by the brand and anyone working on cars has been trained on a minimum of 50 cars before they work independently.
What differences between ceramic coating and pdf coating, which one is best and long-lasting?
Both are different concepts, Ppf is a thin plastic film and ceramic is a liquid coating. The PPF offers optimum protection from rock chip damage and scratches while Ceramic Coating over the top will provide glossiness, hydrophobicity, and cleaning ease. On the other hand, Ceramic coating is a much more permanent solution. PPF offers a lot more protection, however, in case of an accident or if the file is punctured it must be replaced else it might turn yellow and get blisters.

Are minor and major scratches covered in ceramic coating services?
Yes, our paint preparation process will remove any scratch that has not been removed from the paint.
Do you have Pick and drop services?
We also provide pick-and-drop services, and our drivers are vaccinated, trained, and well-experienced.
What is PPF?
PPF (Paint Protection Film) is a transparent film with self-healing properties that is applied to the car bodywork to protect it from scratches and small dents. It is also known as Anti-Stone Film because it provides protection from pebbles and gravel, which can cause damage if splashed against the vehicle bodywork.

What is Glass coating?
Glass coating is nanotechnology coating done over the glass surface, these nanoparticles enter the pores of the surface making the surface very smooth. Due to this water repellent effect is created effecting in better visibility avoiding hard water marks, minor scratches, and increasing wiper life.
What are the differences between 2 years and 5-year warranty coating?
2 years is 9h hard and a 5-year warranty coating is 12 H ( 3 layers of 9h) making it more durable.
What is the security of your Pick and drop services, is this safe?
The Pick Up Drop is done by drivers from DriveU and 21 North, drivers are vaccinated well trained, and sent accordingly to car size and transmission. In case of an accident, there is insurance up to Rs 20000.
Should the sunglasses, USB, etc be removed while handing over the car to the driver or The Car Laundry team?
Yes, we suggest removing any valuables and loose items to avoid loss or damage.
What are the different hardness available in ceramic?
We offer 9 h hardness ceramic coating and 10h N1 Graphene coating. We also offer 12 h hardness by doing 3 layers of 9h
If you are providing ceramic coating at such a low cost then what are quality compromises?
We have a process that is consistently followed. The prices are competitive as our target customer is someone who drives their own car. We also regularly do competitive research to make sure we offer a well-balanced ratio of Price: Quality: After Sales Service.
If we follow all the care instructions, is there a warranty of 2yrs after the ceramic application?
The Warranty Period is the expected lifetime of the Coating in years IDEALLY. But the actual life of the Coating is not time-bound! No two Cars/ Car owners are the same & the life of the Coating varies from one car to another.
Two major factors involved
1. Usage of the Car.
2. Maintenance of the Car. More frequently used cars are more subjected to daily wear & tear. Better maintained cars help in reducing the damages during daily wear & tear. Incorrect manual wash techniques, automatic car washes, brushes, or contaminated wash tools may cause abrasion, swirl marks, marring, or scratches. Hence service coat is provided to maintain the coating.
What is a maintenance/service coat, and how many service coats are provided?
A maintenance coat is an Inspection round including mild buffing to remove minor scratches and the application of booster chemicals to enhance the performance of the ceramic coating.
How many maintenance coats are provided?
2-year Package – 2 times in 2 years, once between 6-12 months from the coating date and once after 12th months from the first maintenance coat.
5-year Package – 5 times in 5 years, once between 6-12 months from the coating date and then every 12th months from the first maintenance coat.
Graphene Coating / Combo – 5 times in 5 years, once between 6-12 months from the coating date and then every 12th months from the first maintenance coat.
Are the maintenance coats free of coat?
Maintenance coats are charged at Rs 500 plus gst which included pick up drop and sanitization.
After ceramic coating will the car become scratches and swirl marks proof?
YES & NO. Because swirl marks are in the Clear Coat level only. Clear-Coat is the top superficial layer of the paint surface which naturally gives shine & protection to the paint. The same Ceramic Coating process can be redone in the future, only if we have the scope of work on the Clear Coat. Too much focus on removing swirl marks will only unnecessarily remove the Clear Coat which is not good for the paint in the first place. So Machine polishing will be done only to the extent we remove the dullness & fading and do not focus on removing the entire swirl marks.
What are the different hardness available in ceramic?
We offer 9 h hardness ceramic coating and 10h N1 Graphene coating. We also offer 12 h hardness by doing 3 layers of 9h.
